A patient-specific virtual stenotic model of the coronary artery to analyze the relationship between fractional flow reserve and wall shear stress

This study investigates the relationship between fractional flow reserve (FFR) and wall shear stress (WSS) using a virtual stenosis model of coronary arteries. The research explores how FFR decreases and WSS increases as stenotic severity progresses. Simulations based on patient-specific models of coronary arteries were used to validate the model. The findings may aid clinicians in understanding the relationship between FFR and WSS, helping to improve patient-specific treatment strategies.
